Yesterday, we officially launched the campaign for a $15 minimum wage in St. Paul.
Workers in St. Paul have been organizing and striking for months demanding $15/hour and a voice on the job. And yesterday, that power translated into a press conference outside St. Paul City Hall where a coalition of faith, community, and labor groups representing thousands of people called on St. Paul’s elected officials to pass a $15 minimum wage for St. Paul with no exemptions as soon as possible.
What’s the best thing you can do to immediately help advance the demand for #15forSTP? Come to a mayoral candidate forum. In the weeks leading up to the November election, these are our best opportunity to show mayoral candidates that the rent won’t wait-- and neither will we.
